The Geolam Difference

Why Geolam® is a better choice.

By combining superior raw materials with an evolutionary production process, Geolam® is a wood-plastic composite that is wonderfully versatile.

Superior raw materials

Most wood plastic composite products are manufactured using polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Geolam is produced by combining wood fiber with recycled polypropylene (PP). More difficult to source and more expensive to buy, this wood and polypropylene composite is lighter, less slippery, more stable at extreme temperatures and produces no toxic fumes when incinerated.

Superior product performance

Geolam requires no staining, sealing or any other treatment. Accidental spills such as coffee or wine will not stain if wiped immediately. If staining does occur, a simple sanding restores the original color. Geolam is also softer to the touch and simply more attractive.

Superior environmental performance

Geolam wood-plastic products have been awarded the ‘Eco-Mark’ label by the Japan Environment Association. One of the world’s highest environmental standards, this award guarantees that at least 80% of the raw materials are recycled and that the products are harmless to human and animal health. Geolam is composed of 90% recycled materials and 100% recyclable.

Superior patented technology

Breakthrough Einwood® technology allows the bonding of wood and plastic under moisture-free conditions. The result is a stronger, more durable, more colorfast product that is resistant to high humidity, extreme temperatures, damage from insects, mold and mildew.

Superior capabilities

Geolam is not coated. It is a solid, homogeneous product that can be cut into any shape or configuration without losing any of its mechanical properties. Geolam exhibits exceptional test results in strength, slip resistance and low water absorption.
